The players who wish to visit Illinois for a Roulette, poker or other table game will have to show their driver's licenses before starting the game. A new plan designed by the Illinois Gaming Board establishes that the Illinois casino players must show their driver's licenses at the Casino entrance.

Implanting this method will allow Casino operators to easily recognize compulsive gamblers that are in the Casino "Ban List", it will also prevent minors from entering the Casino premises.

British casino operator, Stanley Leisure PLC, has said that the new laws put in place by the Government had ensured that gamblers had started frequenting the regional outlets in increasing numbers.

The firm added that there was a 15.7 percent increase in the number of customers at its outlets since the new laws came into effect in November and December.

Jamul Casino, Hotel & Resort

Although its development has met with strong opposition, the Jamul Casino, Hotel & Resort is set to break ground on December 10.

The project includes a two-story casino, a 10-story garage and a 30-story, 412-room hotel, that would be the tallest building in the county outside of Downtown San Diego.

Early plans call for an opening of December 31, 2007.

Wisconsin tribes casinos

Wisconsin's American Indian tribes would need legislative approval to build off-reservation casinos under a bill the state Assembly approved Sept. 28 that would strip that authority away from the governor.

The measure drew criticism from the governor's office. Gov. Jim Doyle already has vetoed previous attempts in recent years to give the Legislature oversight of the gambling compacts he negotiates with tribes.
