Mobile Online Casinos

Online casinos have been growing in popularity so much so that people are starting to play on their mobile units.

This has become popular in Japan for instance. Online casino goers are keen to access their favorite games on the go.

One cellular company saw the potential in mobile online casinos and recently launched their own initiative.

Roulette Winners

The roulette wheel spun viciously against casino operator London Clubs International after some big wins at its Les Ambassadeurs casino in Mayfair, London forced it to issue a profit warning.

The casino operator said it had experienced a sustained losing streak in December and January at its main London club, which accounts for two-thirds of its profits.

New casino-style

Officials at West Virginia's racetracks are getting in gear to train what could be as many as 2,000 new casino-style table games employees.
And just in the nick of time: the state Senate late Monday on a 19-14 vote moved a tables games bill to the House of Delegates. It would legalize roulette, craps, poker and other table games at the four tracks if residents of the respective counties later approve local referenda.
"It's exactly what I expected," said Sen. Andy McKenzie, R-Ohio, and a lead sponsor of the bill.

More roulettes in our future

Iowa's $1 billion-a-year casino industry took a step toward expansion Tuesday night as business and community leaders enthusiastically spoke of why the state needs more slot machines, roulette wheels and card games.

Promoters of four new riverboat casinos each had 45 minutes to pitch their projects to the Iowa Racing and Gaming Commission, which is expected to vote in May to authorize an unspecified number of additional gambling licenses.

The presentations conclude today in Johnston with appearances from the six remaining applicants.

Roulette 'a good bet for town gateway'

A GLITZY casino should be included in plans to revitalise the town centre Station Hill area, bingo hall bosses believe.
The area outside the railway station is set for a major revamp after John Madejski’s Sackville Properties firm spent £27 million buying the plot.
New space may be found for Mecca bingo hall, which is currently at the heart of the site, although detailed plans have yet to be released.

Dress code

Once, all you needed was money in your pocket. Now one casino-hotel wants you to wear nice pants, too.
Tropicana Casino and Resort announced Monday that it is imposing a dress code for late-night visitors to its new retail and entertainment center.
Effective immediately, anyone who visits The Quarter after 11 p.m. on weekends or holidays may not wear baggy jeans, work boots or work shoes, T-shirts, "inappropriate athletic gear" or other clothing Tropicana considers improper.

DEBATE ON TV

THE casino debate was given a concerted public airing yesterday, with Singaporeans seemingly still torn on whether having one would be good for the country. The Government, which has received a total of 19 proposals to build an integrated resort with a casino here, is expected to make a decision in the next four to six weeks.

Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong made it clear in Parliament on Wednesday that while the Government welcomed the public debate, it would not shrink from having to make a decision after weighing the pros and cons.

One of the largest online gaming organizations, opened an onsite VIP club in San Jose, Costa Rica, and invited celebrities to join in the celebration. Carmen Electra and the Pussycat Dolls provided the musical entertainment while a slew of stars came to play and party.

World record for the 1903 series

Two "Dogs Playing Poker" paintings cleaned house at Doyle New York's annual Dogs in Art Auction, fetching a staggering $590,400, the auction house said.
It was estimated that the two rare paintings from Cassius Marcellus Coolidge's 1903 series of dogs playing poker would fetch $30,000-$50,000, Doyle said in a statement after Tuesday's sale. The auction house said that, after intense bidding, "A Bold Bluff" and "Waterloo: Two" sold to a private collector from New York City.

Slot Machines

The proposed addition of 2,500 slot machines to Casino San Pablo-a card room located off Interstate 80-would bring 34,000 more cars to the area each day and increase traffic on the freeway by 25 percent, according to a traffic report.
The study, conducted by Katz, Okitsu and Associates-a traffic engineering and transportation planning company-found that the slot machines, granted by a compact between Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger and the Lytton Band of Pomo Indians, would create the need for an additional lane along I-80 and a new interchange to accommodate extra casino traffic.
