Roulette lovers would probably enjoy TV shows such as “La Ruleta de la Suerte” –Spanish for roulette of fortune. The show is celebrating its one year anniversary in the TV station Antena 3, where it has become the morning leader. Its estimated audience consists of 1.272.000 members, which represents 27% of the total.

Rules and characteristics of the game are similar to the ones that were part of the Wheel of Fortune, as the original 1975 show was called. Some contestants would then have a hard time spinning the rudimentary roulette. Nowadays, technology incorporated includes a touch pad and special lighting.

Hosted by Jorge Fernandez - former Mr. Spain-, the game consists in guessing the letters that are part of a word or phrase and completing a blank panel. For this, a 24-option-roulette is employed. Vowels can be bought, or words can be guessed. There are three different contestants everyday.

The show is broadcasted Monday to Friday 1.15pm on ‘Antena 3 de Television’. Broadcasting since 1990, Antena 3 is the first private station in Spain. The station is present in radio, cinema and television industries.
