This week, Korea will host its first international conference on casinos, the International Conference on Casino Development and Strategy. The event will be held at the Millennium Seoul Hilton in central Seoul. The organizers are the Korea Casino Association, Kangwon Land, Grand Korea Leisure and Seven Luck.

“Casinos are a major source of tourist revenue, drawing in foreign visitors, so we need to study the strategies of the casino business, its regulations and future direction for its development,” Park Jung-sam, Chairman of Grand Korea Leisure explained.

It has been announced that William Eadington, Professor of the University of Nevada, Reno, will give a lecture on the “Challenges for the Regulation of Casino Gaming in Asia: Lesson from the West.” Also, Professor Lee Choong-ki of the Kyung Hee University will make a presentation on “Sustainability and Competitiveness in the Korean Casino Industry.”

Other lecturers include casino experts and professors from the United States, the Philippines, Macau, Singapore and New Zealand.
